Lori J. M. Hesse, CPA
Lori has been working closely with owner/entrepreneurs on accounting, tax and operational matters for more than 20 years. She has worked with clients in a variety of industries, including wholesale and retail, manufacturing, construction, and professional services. She resolves accounting and tax needs, as well as advises on matters such as acquisitions, financing, compensation, and property transactions. Prior to becoming co-owner of The Maxwell Hesse Group, LLC, she was a Senior Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), an international accounting firm. During her 13 years at PwC, she was a key member and leader of the professional group that focused on closely-held, growing businesses. Throughout her career, responsiveness and personal service have been the foundation of the relationships Lori builds with her clients. In addition to her work at The Maxwell Hesse Group, Lori is involved in a number of community and volunteer activities, including The Oregon Humane Society, Robert Gray Middle School and Multnomah Athletic Club Strategic Planning Committee.
Jay L. Maxwell, CPA
Jay obtained his Certified Public Accountant license in 1965. He formed his own practice beginning in 1975 after working at international accounting firms for 10 years. In his many years of experience as a CPA, he has dealt with many varied businesses, problems and personalities. During his career, he has worked with large publicly-traded companies to small startup companies and proprietorships. Jay enjoys a variety of activities in addition to work these days, but his personal approach still sets the tone for our firm’s client service.
Nancy Maxwell
Nancy is a licensed tax consultant and has been the firm’s primary professional staff member since 1993. She has a wide range of experience, including an emphasis in individual tax and closely-held business, as well as significant knowledge regarding payroll taxes and Quickbooks accounting software.
